Installing Access 2002 on my laptop as well as desktop

Hi there.

I bought Access 2002 for my desktop a couple of years ago. I now have a
laptop and would like to install it on there, while also using it on the
desktop. I know that you can install the software on another computer
providing the first copy is no longer used and is uninstalled. However, is
it ok to run two copies at once.

This issue has been brought up on this forum before, but I just want someone
to clarify my EULA for me. It says:

"General Licence Grant to Install and Use Software Product: You may install
and use one copy of the Software Product on a single computer, device, work
station, terminal, or other digital electonic or analog device ("Device").
You may mae a second copy of the Software Product and install it on a
portable Device for the exclusive use of the person who is the primary user
of the first copy of the Software Product. A licence for the Software
Product may not be shared."

Now this seems like it says I can install a second copy on my laptop with
the same product key, but the bit that throws me is "A licence for the
Software Product may not be shared". What does that mean? Do I have to
purchase a separate licence? Or is it just saying "other than the primary
user installing this on a laptop for their exclusive use, then no you can't
copy it"?!

Can someone just clarify this for me before I go and install it on my laptop
and cause all sorts of problems.

Thanks

Well, my interpretation of the text you quoted would be that you can install
it on the laptop as long as you are the only person who uses it. Of course,
I'm not a lawyer, and if you ever find yourself in court my interpretation
won't count for ... well, it just won't count.

Thanks. That'll do me. It's their own fault if that's not what it means -
these things should always be written in plain english if you ask me!
