Installing Access 2002

I'm having problems with installing Access 2002 on My
windows XP pro. This started with the Office XP SP3
install that wouldn't allow me to use the online upgrade
system. After a battle of one day I deleted the entire
system and started to reinstall. Office XP small Business
installed OK. When I went to install my seperate copy of
Access it won't install. when I click setup.exe on the
install disk I get the message Unexpected Termination.
when I close that I get a windows installer message The
I/O operation has been aborted because either a theard
exit or an application request. What the heck does that
mean and how do I fix it? The access key appears on the
office tool bar even though I havn't installed it yet.
When I click the key I get the message unexpected
termination. When I click that I get problem with the
short cut which makes sense seeing How I haven't installed
Access yet.

This problem my be relate some how to speak recognition.

What do I need to clear to install my Access 2000.

Thank you

I'm not 100% certain, but the fact that you've got Small Business Edition
may be the problem. If I recall correctly, it includes a runtime version of
Access in order to run some functionality in the package. Sorry I can't
offer anything more definitive.

Your recollection is correct.
