Installing access after initial installation of office xp

Betty

Office XP was installed on my computer when I bought it,
however access was never installed. How do I install
access now? I have tried installing from the cd again but
cannot find access. I also would not mind having
Powerpoint but cannot find it either. I assume they are
there, but where???? Can some one help Please!

Hello Betty,

Office XP, and other releases of Office, comes in a variety of suites or
editions each of which contains a different mix of products. If your copy
of Office XP does *not* say Office XP Professional (or Office XP Developer)
on the packaging or cd's, then Access is not a part of that particular
suite. If I remember correctly, the same is true for PowerPoint.

You might want to check your local computer store to see if they still have
copies of Access 2002 and PowerPoint 2002 for sale.

Thanks Cheryl:
I really thought I was going crazy here. Makes sense, I
will get in touch with my computer store and see if they
have Access available. This is the first time I have used
the newsgroup, but it won't be the last. Sure helps to
know there are others who can help.
