I am having trouble installing PowerPoint from my Office
XP disc. When I originally installed the software, I
only selected a few programs to be installed (i.e. Word,
Outlook, Frontpage...). Now, I need Powerpoint
installed, but whenever I run setup.exe from the CD, I
get an error such as the following: "Another version of
this product is already installed. Installation of this
version cannot continue. To configure or remove the
existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs
on the Control Panel." I have SP-2 installed, so I am
assuming that the error is caused by the difference in
versions (Original Release vs. SP-2). Here's the
question: Can I bypass this and still install Powerpoint,
or do I have to uninstall everything, reinstall the
programs, and then re-download their service packs?
