Installing an Upgrade Office on New Computer

Hi-I'm trying to install an upgrade version of Office XP Pro on a new
computer. It was originally installed over Office 95 on my old computer. I
still have the original Office 95 disks, but can't find where I logged the
password so I can't install Office 95. Any suggestions?

You do not need to install Office 95. If Office 95 was a qualifying product
for Office XP, you just need to insert the Office 95 installation disk in
the drive and browse to it when asked for a qualifying product.

Many thanks for your suggestions. I tried pointing the installer to a drive
holding the original Office 95 installation disk but unfortunately Tim L was
correct: Office 95 is not longer a "qualifying product" for upgrade to Office
XP. But it had to have been back in 2002 because the very same Office XP
installation disks worked flawlessly at the time. I suspect I have to
completely re-install Office 95, but lacking the password, I guess I'm in
trouble. So I have e-mailed Microsoft Support.
Best Regards, Mike

You will need to buy a program that is a "Password changer" to allow you to
change/access the administrative portion of your computer without knowing
your password.
