I read in an earlier post where Office 2003 is not considered a valid
compliance product for the upgrade of FrontPage 2003. Apparently this is not
true, because it installed successfully for the user with the original
question and myself at least one time.
However, it doesn't always seem to work out this way. It didn't work for me
when I tried the to install it on a server with Windows Server 2003 and
Office 2003. I was wondering if it failed because I have partitions? I have
tried installing Office 2003 on both partitions. Unfortunately, pointing
FrontPage to the CD drive where Office 2003 Professional CD was located, or
pointing it to C and D partitions, has not helped it locate the valid product.
I can see where the confusion is coming from though. The error message says
it needs Office 2000, XP, or 97 to install successfully, but experience has
shown us otherwise. I have never had a former version of Office instaled on
my PC.
Please help! Thanks!
