I've tried once more to install KB907417
(office2003-KB907417-FullFile-ENU.exe). It downloaded onto my desktop but was
unable to be installed. I've checkd my internet settings, deleted cookies,
temp internet files. Also checked my startup type - which is on manual.
Ose.exe is also in my Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Source
Engine
files, but I also have a OSE.EXE-2C5425B3.pf in my Windows folder.
Would this be causing problems with the update successfully installing.
Also, when I shut down the PC, they keep sying "installing update 1 of 1"
before it shuts down.
I will add that the program was downloaded by Dell when I got my new PC in
late July. I already talked to their support people af few weeks ago, who
could not help me - and spent $49 bucks as a result, with no results.
Help, as I'm confused on what to do. I have Office Pro 2003 SP 2, with
everything on it except FrontPage 2003, which I bought separately - all was
through a university.
