Installing .MDE w/Access Runtime on pc with OLDER version of Acces

How does one tell Windows to use Runtime w/.MDE instead of using the
installed version of Access, which is much older?

Please, thoughts.

Your runtime installer should create a shortcut for the user that specifically
points to the runtime version of Access you are installing. The target of such
a shortcut would look like...

"Path to MSAccess.exe" "Path to MDE file"
