"Installing" message every time I start

Jeff

I am using Word 2002 (from Office XP) in XP Home.

Everytime I start Word, I get a brief message saying "installing something".
Is this normal? Why does it have to keep re-installing itself?

are you running to versions of Word on the same computer?

possibly switching back and forth between versions -- somehting similar
happened dto me when I was working on both 2000 and XP.

That may be it. I have both Word 97 and Word 2002 on my system. The
"installing" does not cause any problems but is weird, hence the question.

Thanks for writing.

that's what's doing it! If you stay with one or the other -- you shouldn't
get the window -- but the first time you switch over... it will pop up!
