When I first installed XP on my new computer I omitted to
install Access. How can I install it retrospectively?

Go to the Control Panel, find the Add or Delete Programs icon, find Office
in there, and say that you want to change the installation.

Simply put the MS Office or MS Access CD in your CD drive and follow
the installation instructions on the screen.

Hope this helps,

One of these is an operating system and one is an Office application suite.
They have nothing to do with each other than both having "XP" in the name.
