Installing Microsoft Office 2000 Professional

I

inquisitive1

I am trying to install MS Office 2000 Professional on a Compaq Evo N115
laptop that previously had MS Office XP Professional. A colleague of mine
somehow deleted some essential files from MS Office. I've tried to restore to
several previous dates but to no avail! So she has no MS Word, Powerpoint, or
Excel... What do I need to do to install MS Office 2000? Do I need to go to
Add/Remove Programs and delete Microsoft Office XP Professional. Here are
some prompts I'm getting...
Windows File Protection
Windows files must be installed for your installation to proceed. Insert
your Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 CD now.

Installer Information
Error 1933. The Windows Installer service cannot update one or more
protected Windows files.
