INSTALLING MICROSOFT PHOTO EDITOR BY ITSELF ALONG WITH OFFICE2003

Hi there from Corfu Greece. I am sorry for the messup but there are two
options regarding the MS OfficeOnline locally, English and Greek, and there
must have been some problem there since the Greek message appeared on the
English site. Anyway, I am translating the original message and I shall be
more than deeply indebted if you could help me. Here's the translation:

Dear Friends hi again.
Microsoft says on the following page
(http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/assistance/HP011454871033.aspx) that
there can be an installation of Microsoft Photo Editor from the CD of Office
XP etc. etc. by means of a customized installation. I followed the
instructions, the program was installed with all the functions as it seems,
but it cannot save/write the files in any format. There is an error message
saying "Write File Error". Mind you I had installed the graphics filters and
when I use the "Save as" option there are the options for the saving in the
different file formats like jpg, gif, tiff etc. When I try to open a file
through the "Open" option of the program or via Windows Explorer there is the
message "Cannot open file" or something.
Any ideas? I don't want to lose Photo Editor but I want to use Office 2003
too. The strange thing is that at my school there was no such problem with
Photo Editor and Office 2003. Shall I use a total format and reinstall
everything do you think?
Anxiously waiting for a helping hand from out there. I thank you from the
depths of my hear for your anticipated assistance.
Cheers.
Damian from Corfu Greece.
