Installing MS Office 2000 with Windows XP

K

Ken G

I had to delete my office 2000 aps off my PC. Office was originally
installed when my PC was using Windows 98 or ME as its o/s. I
upgraded to XP Home when it first came out.

In trying to reinstall Office 2000 I keep getting the same error:

Installer Information
Error 1933. The Windows Installer service cannot update one or more
protected Windows files.

I've tried everything I can think of, including copying the CD to my
desktop and installing from there, and deactivating Norton AntoVirus.

HELP!!! I'd greatly appreciate any help you can offer.
Thanks
Ken Goodman
