Installing MS Project 2002 Standard

mikes

I am going to be installing Project 2002 Standard on a
Win2K server, and will need to allow about 3 users to
access it from there PC's, I have 1 cal for Project Server
2002. I am trying to figure out what I need to do to allow
them to access Project from there PC's...(will I need to
get a license for each user? In trying to figure this out
I keep on coming across Project Server 2002, will I need
that in addition to Standard?) I don't quite understand
how it all works, if someone could give me a little
guidance, that would be appreciated!
Thanks

Project Standard is a stand alone application. Each user requires a license
and it should be installed on the machine that they are using.
Project Server is a different product. It allows some "enterprise" features
and works with Project Professional. To use it you need a license for it, at
least one server to host it (the Microsoft IIS webserver and SQL Server are
required to make it work) and each user of the web interface requires a
Client Access License (CAL).

In your case you probably want to just buy two more copies of Project
Standard and give them to your users. They can store their files whereever
on the network that you want them to.
