Installing MSPS 2007 on VMWare in a 'Production' environment

Does anyone know if Project Server 2007 can be/should be deployed in a
virtual environment using VMWare, without losing performance, reliability
etc.. Does Microsoft support this? It looks like Microsoft supports Hyper-V
for MSPS 2007, but I haven't seen any reference of VMWare.

I saw this article that discourages deploying on Virtual servers, especially
for a production environment. But this article is from Nov 2007. Things may
have changed since then.

Thanks in advance.

Alok,

We have sucsessfully deployed a Production environment on VMware. But
added to that , a 3rd party company manages the VM's and they have set
it up perfectly. The environment will only be as good as the VM setup.
