Installing Ofc Std 2007 v.12 with Vista 64 bit OS

Install of Ofc Std 2007 v.12 in machine using Vista 64 bit OS generated error
message "failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is
incorrect". Before installing, uninstalled OEM installed trial version of
Ofc and deleted files. Is there a solution?

From that error message (side by side ) it(Trial) does not seem to be uninstalled completely or at all
