I wanted to know if I could load my MS Office 2000
Professional version onto a computer that has Microsoft XP
Home Edition.

Thanks-

Yes. The Home/Pro descriptions do not mean the same things for Office and
Windows.

I have a new portable running XP Professional, factory installed. I have installed ALL current updates. How is it possible if I install my old Office 2000 Pro that I won't overwrite critical components of the XP Pro operating system? ie, Frontpage is already on here. Wouldn't that be a newer version than the one included in Office 2000? I don't want to mess up this computer by my own installation actions, or then Dell won't help me, and I'll have no internet to get help from anyone
Thanks
