I am new to installing office 2000 patches through a logon script. I have
been testing the installation of o2ksp3.exe via a logon script but it
constantly prompts for user intervention. This is with using the /q switch.
I have done a little reading, and have found this doc that I am trying to
follow; http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/xp/journ/FullFile.htm . I am
trying the full file method for distribution - I am unsure of exactly what
they mean by an administrative installation point. Is this just the
installation files for the office install? Do I just copy the o2ksp3.exe to
that directory as well? I am also unsure what a MSP file is or how to create
one. I cannot use the method that reinstalls the whole office package as
that is too much of an interruption for the users.
Any help would be appreciated, we just lost our NT admin here and I am
trying to get things back together. Sorry for the lack of experience but
hopefully I explained enough!
Thanks again,
Natalie
