Installing Office 2000

M

Mark Schneiderman

I had to re-install Windows 2000 on one of my computers. I have the book
with the product key, but can't find the disc for Office 2000. Can I
download Office 2000 from the Microsoft website and use the product key that
I have?

No. Office 2000 is considered obsolete.
No replacement media is available.

About the only thing you can do at this point is to find someone with the
*exact same* version of Office CD. It has to be the same version for the
product key to work.

By whom, you? LOL! My kid uses it for all the homework, as does the
teacher at a major university. Care to take back your statement?
No replacement media is available.

Not even on eBay? A friend?

Oh, I see, you're pushing MS software instead helping the poster like
you usually do. Do you get a commission or are you just clueless?

Office 2000 is no longer available from anywhere legal since Microsoft had to withdraw it based on the Sun Java verdict.

Good enough for you?

Really, I can't sell my copy? Why not? Note, I did not suggest a place
to buy a *new* copy or *new* license.
Good enough for you?
