installing office 2003 on vista

I have heard that you can install office 2003 on a machine with vista. I
recently tried to do this, but got an error message saying it could not do
this because there was a problem with file: E4561412.CAB
Has anyone else had this problem and what can I do to fix this??

If your computer has a free trial version of Office 2007 installed on
it, then you need to uninstall the free trial version before you install
Office 2003.

Choose "run in XP mode" helped me.

Yes - I just resolved this! Go into CONTROL PANEL and select FOLDER
OPTIONS. I changed the settings to show hidden files and file extensions and
this worked (may not need the file extensions turned on). After this I was
able to see all of the CABS and the install worked.

Quite surprised that vista did not find the hidden files on the cd (or maybe
not)
