Installing Office 2003 Question

N

Nozza

I am currently running Office XP 10 (Word 2002 etc) standard and am
about to upgrade to Office 2003 as I need to use Access and Publisher.

Just waiting for the software to arrive from the supplier.

For info use Outlook as my email program, and have a whole load of
emails I cannot afford to lose (yes, I have them backed up!)

What is the recommended way to install 2003 over 2002? Is it best to
uninstall 2002, and then do a clean install of 2003, or is there an
upgrade option on install.

If doing a clean install will there be issues using the 2002 Outlook
..pst file with 2003?

Remove and install or install and allow Office to uninstall the prior version - there really is no difference but I prefer to uninstall the older, reboot, and then install the newer.

As for your Outlook Data, it will not be touched.

Brilliant. Thanks for the advice.

Will I have to import the existing PST file - or just point to it?

Never import, just point.
