installing Office 2003

I installed Office 2003 Professional Enterprise edition
with no problem on my laptop. But when I try to install it
on my desktop (XP Home Edition) the
installation "terminates prematurely." The error message
says the operation is "aborted because of a thread exit or
application request." Can anyone tell me what to do about
this problem?
