Installing Office 2007 first Vista roll out later

Are there any known issues with Installing Office 2007 on Windows XP then
rolling out Vista to those same boxes later. We will have a custom config to
meet some internal regualtions.

"Grape Vine" is stating the added functionality of Office 2007 through the
custom config will be re-set a time Vista is applied; requiring a reload of
Office 2007 to get back at time of Vista install.

If this is accurate, is there a way to preserve settings in Office 2007
during Vista install?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Faban,

In general, a 'clean install' of the Operating system and the Office apps, especially in a tested configuration should produce fewer
variables and problems over time, but there would usually be more issue with video/graphics/printer drivers and utilities than with
Office. Office shouldn't require a reinstallation in a Vista upgrade that didn't report problems during the upgrade.
