Installing Office 2007 in new computer

I just purchased a new notebook and need to install Office 2007 Home and
Student edition I purchsed a few months ago. The new notebook already has a
trial version of Office 2007 Home and Student installed. Do I need to
uninstall the trial version before I install the Office I already have or
will it overwrite it?

How to convert a trial version of a 2007 Office suite or program to a full retail perpetual license version:

I didn't get the same option as described on the support website that the
link below took me. I had choices of two tabs. One it to try the trial
version and the other to activate or buy MS Office. I chose the latter and
entered the product key for my retail version. Did this convert the trial
version to retail version, I hope?
