installing Office 2008 and avoiding the Entourage password issue

I decided to buy the entire Office 2008 suite and will be installing
it soon. I just wanted to make sure my approach to avoiding the
Entourage 2008 password issues is correct. The help of an MVP would be
appreciated.

1) See if the packaged DVD contains the version with Service Pack 1.

2) If no, then install Service Pack 1, and then proceed directly to
installing the 12.1.5 update, which contains all previous updates.

3) If yes, proceed directly to installing the 12.1.5 update.

Is this correct? Thank you.

The problem is that no one really knows what triggers the password
issue.

Usually, deleting the entries corresponding to your e-mail accounts and
letting Entoruage re-create them works around the issue, so I don't know
whether you really need to worry too much about this,

As Corentin explains the Keychain is the usual culprit, however, a bad
install of 12.1.5 can result in keychain problems for some users. The number
that has experienced the problem is very small. Basically the steps you
outlined are correct, but you left out important parts like quitting all
applications including hidden ones an restarting. For all the gotchas see
