installing office 97 on windows xp

Hi all,
What is the best way to install office 97 on a windows xp
machine so that the all users group gets the icons on the
start menu?
where is path to program? c:\program files\ ???
what permissions do I need to set on office folder for
all users?
How do I get the icons to all users (in the past I have
just copied shortcuts to the all users desktop folder)
Is there a doc out there somewhere on this?
Thanks in advance for any help
(no we cannot afford to upgrade to 0ffice xp since we
still have alot of older machines running win98, we still
need for all our users to be able to share docs.)
