Installing Office Assistant

Hello,

I just installed Microsoft Office 2003 Student and
Teacher Edition and I can't find the Office Assistant.
Normally on other versions of Office I've used, in the
Help Help pane there is the option to Show Office
Assistant, but I do not have this option. I'd like to
make use of Office Assistant, is there a way of
installing it or is it not part of the Teachers' edition
suite? Thanks in advance

Hi Bobby!

The only difference between the Student and Teacher (aka Academic)
Edition is the terms of the licence.

Office Assistant is an option.

Close down your computer and re-start.

Take coffee cup out of the coffee cup holder
Put in the Office CDROM
If it doesn't start automatically use Run > D:\Setup
You'll eventually get to a menu that asks whether you want to Add or
Remove Features, Reinstall or Repair, or Uninstall
Select Add or Remove Features
Next
Check the box "Choose advanced customization of applications"
Next
Expand "Office Shared Features"
Expand "Office Assistant"

Now you get the choice of "running from your computer or install on
first use". You probably want to run from your computer and have a
choice of assistants.
Update

Remember how you put assistant on in order that you can remove it
later.

Why on earth would anyone in his right mind ever want to remove the office
assistant?

I love your "instructions" Norman...........what I really hate is when my
"Coffee Cup Holder" decides to go nite-nite all by itself while it's holding
a full cup of coffee <G>

Hi Don!

There's a weird bunch of individuals who don't like the Office
Assistant. In fact, some were sent to bed early for using rude words
about it!

I have actually been a member of that group since I first saw the little
