Installing Office Pro 2007 Upgrade

I have upgrade disks for Office 2003, Office xp, and Office 2000 - all are
upgrade disks.

Will I be able to load Office Pro 2007 upgrade on a brand new machine with
no previous office programs installed? When it asks me to show it a previous
disk, will it accept a previous disk that is an "upgrade" disk? I can't find
a non-upgrade disk.

I called Microsoft and they said "no", it won't accept an upgrade disk in
this scenario. How do you know you are correct?

Hi Nhey,

From experience in doing it. Do you have the case # or other identifying information on the location at Microsoft you called and
the person you spoke to on this.

I tried it and you are correct. It did accept an upgrade disk. This is
interesting, in that Office Pro 2003 upgrade, if installed on a clean hard
drive, does not accept an upgrade disk from a previous version, but requires
a "full install" disk.
