Installing Office Professional Plus 2007

Q1. System requirements say Windows XP svc pak 2 or later operating system.
Does this mean that if I buy Office Pro Plus 2007, the same cd's will let me
install now on Windows XP SP2, and then if I buy a new PC at Christmas, those
same cd's will let me install on Windows Vista Home Premium operating system?

Q2. I currently have Office 2003 and I want to keep it even after installing
Office Pro Plus 2007: Is it true that if I uninstall MS Outlook 2003 and then
install Office 2007, it will let me have both versions available? Is there a
checkbox that let's me choose Not to uninstall Office 2003, or how does that
work?
Thank you (it's 105 degrees, but its a dry heat...)

Hi Dryheat,

There isn't a separate version of MS Office 2007 for Windows XP vs Windows Vista, so the one you purchase (if retail, not OEM
edition) can be installed under either of those Windows version with Windows updates installed.

When installing MS Office 2007 choose the 'custom' installation to specify which earlier version apps to leave and which to remove.
You are correct that only one version of Outlook can be installed and run at a time.
