Installing Office Professional Plus 2007

The instructions say that any version of Office must be uninstalled before
trying to load the new Plus 2007. I can backup Excel files and Word docs,
etc. but what happens to the Outlook contact list, current emails, etc.? Can
these be backed up and retrieved after the new program is installed? If so,
how?

You can always back up your pst files. Installing on top of Office 2007 should not disturb the pst. But it is always prudent to back up

I just installed Office Pro 2007 over Office Pro 2003. Office took care of
everything, uninstalling 2003, including Outlook. I lost no data,
addresses, etc. You can, however, save your items as a pst file as others
suggest and import into Office 2007.
