Installing Office Service Pack 3 without CD, Windows 2000 Pro

I cannot find a way to install the (badly needed) Office Service Pack 3 on
my laptop, which runs Windows 2000 Pro. Part way through the SP3 download,
it stops to ask for the Office CD. However, I do not have it -- that
software was installed under a license from my former employer, perhaps from
our server.

This has become critical because I have begun to get random error messages
from installed Office components, and especially because I have come to
understand that I must have SP3 installed in order to configure Outlook (NOT
Outlook Exopress) to work with Hotmail, my new e-mail provider. Any help
would be very much appreciated. Thank you,

Hi AmyL,

I have had the same problem at my company. They have most of their softw
products on their server and I always have to ask, before trying to upgrade.

I do not know of any way around it, other than having your own set of CD's.
Perhaps someone else has a more detailed solution.
