Installing office without a cd drive.

I want to install office on a pc with no cd drive.
Is it possible to copy the cd onto a usb flash drive and install it from
here or do I need to go out and buy an external cd drive?

Yes, you can copy the entire contents of the CD to the flash drive (probably
need a 1 GB flash drive for newer versions of the software) and install from
there or better yet, copy the flash drive to an installation folder on the
hard drive (if hard drive space is plentiful it is my preferred way) and
install from that folder. This way, if you need to have the installation
files because of an upgrade or service pack, you will have the files readily
available and won't have to recreate the flash drive again.
