installing office xp on two computers

Chris

Hello everyone.

I'm thinking of updating to OfficeXP Pro. I have heard, and I'm not sure if
this is true, that you are allowed to install the program on a desktop and a
laptop without buying two copies of Office XP Pro. Is this true? I have a
wireless home network and sometimes use Office programs on my laptop while
on the couch, at the dinning room table, etc. It's great, as anyone who has
a wireless network with a laptop can tell you. I do not think it would be
worth the update (for me anyway) if I had to buy two copies.

Thanks for the help.

Hi, Chris,

Retail licensing does allow this.

If you want more information, for definitive licensing information, call
1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific time)
and ask to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. Worldwide
customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites to find
contact information in their locations.

I've called them and have had good luck speaking with a real person for
free.
