Installing Office XP standard

P

PCtrouble

I bought a new PC and attempted to install Office XP Standard. It's an
upgrade version so I need to install Office 97 first. The problem is it's
asking for a 20 digit product ID which I can't find. What can I do?
Thanks

You don't need to install Office 97. Just have the disk standing by and
insert it when prompted by the upgrade.

Begin the installation of Office XP and you'll be
prompted to insert the Office 97 CD in the CD drive.
Then you can complete the upgrade without installing
Office 97.
