I work in a large corporate environment that has at lest
500 Windows XP Pro computers with Office XP (2002)
installed. I'm trying to install 6 office XP updates
silently over the WAN to these Computers. I downloaded the
updates from Microsoft and ran the executable with the
/? switch and it told me to use the /Q for Quiet mode. I
tried to run each executable for example; officexp-
kb822036-client-enu.exe /q. It would install silently and
then it would prompt me at the end of the installation
that the Office XP Security Patch KB822036 was sucessfully
installed. My Question, How do I install your Office
updates silently and quietly without end user
intervention. It would not be feasable for me to go to
each of the 500 computers on the network to install each
Office update. Are there any other switches or is there
any other alternatives to installing Office XP updates.
Thanks, Tom
