Is it possible to install Office 2003 on the same
partition as Office 2000, without causing any problems
with Outlook or Access.
The briefest answer is NO. Two Office installs on one partition will share
*some*
* registry entries
* files under c:\Program Files\Common Files
* files in the Windows folders
and you may not get the desired application which version to open a document
when you double-click a file.
For many day-to-day activities this won't matter, but it will make a
difference with some complex program interactions. You won't be able to use
mismatched versions of Word and Outlook together for WordMail.
If you install a virtual PC environment then you may be able to contain one
of the Office versions within that space.
