Installing Office97 Pro upgrade on XP - no qualifying products

I'm having problems installing my upgrade copy of Office97
pro on a new XP machine. I have MS works 7.0 already
there, but the install claims not to be able to find any
qualifying products. Presumably works 7.0 is too *new* to
be on its list.

And of course, I can no longer find whatever qualifying
product I had back in 1998...

Any ideas?
