Hello,
we are using Office 2007 Enterprise and Exchange 2007. We use the
Autodiscover feature from Exchange and it works great. Then user logs on,
installs Office, starts Outlook and all his settings are there.
The problem is now we have a *.pst file. This *.pst file is the users old
email from Lotus Notes. It is stored on a network share and during the
Office installation, copied to the local hard drive.
With the Office OCT I can create and modify Outlook profiles. I can add this
*.pst file to the profile and when the user the first time open Outlook, the
old emails are there. This works great with Exchange 2003, but with 2007 it
causes problems.
The user installs Office, here the profile is created, let's call it
"Outlook". Once you start Outlook, the Autodiscover runs and makes "Outlook"
into "copy from Outlook" and the *.pst then causes problems. It is the
"In-Box" and pretty much gives me a headache. It seems to take over the
Outlook client and not the normal *.ost.
Any ideas on how I can add the *.pst file automatically to Outlook??????
Cheers,
Steven
