Installing Outlook into different profile

NIC

Hi Everyone:

I have a situation: I have a windows 2000 machine with
Outlook 2002. The machine is not connected to a domain.
All of my email is on the current profile that is just in
a workgroup. I would like to join this machine to a
domain, and without importing/exporting my outlook, just
log onto the domain and see the same thing that would be
on the local machine which was orignally just in a
workgroup. Is this possible?

Nic and thanx in advance

If you log onto the machine under another Windows profile then you will
have to setup Outlook in that profile to connect to the proper e-mail
account and then you can also point it to use the same .pst file that is
used under the workgroup profile. Simply find the path to the .pst file in
the old profile by opening Outlook and right click on the Outlook Today -
Personal Folder in the Folder List and select Properties. Then click on the
Advanced button and write down the path in the Filename field. This is
where you will want to point Outlook in the new profile to look for the
.pst file.

I hope this information is helpful.
