Well,,, I have this escenarios, what would anyone recommend me.
1. New users(for our application) that have OFFICE 2007 want to use
our application that uses OWC
- What do I need to do for them to get OWC?
- They can still use the OWC with all of its capabilities?
2. Old users(of our application) that had OFFICE 2003 upgrade to
OFFICE 2007
- They can still use the OWC with all of its capabilities?
- Would there be any incompatiblilities?
Answering the 2nd I'd read that they had problems with this escenario
but after reinstalling OWC11 everything was fine....
The licensing how does it applies?
"If You have a valid end user license for Microsoft Office 2003 or any
component application of the Microsoft Office System, Microsoft Office
XP, Access 2002, Excel 2002, FrontPage 2002, or any other product
identified by Microsoft and with which the Software interoperates (the
"Licensed Products"), and You licensed the Software from Microsoft,
You may use one (1) copy of the Software in accordance with the end
user license agreement that accompanied the Licensed Product. If You
are not a licensee of any of the Licensed Products, You may only
install and use one (1) copy of the Software for the sole purpose of
viewing and printing copies of static documents, text and images
created with the Software; You cannot make any other use of the
Software whatsoever."
"or any component application of the Microsoft Office System", this
statement includes OFFICE 2007? if it is then it is still valid to use
OWC11 with OFFICE 2007, otherwise it wouldn't and therefore OWC should
be used only without interactivity....
And finally how would be our deployment of an application in case that
the user has OFFICE 2007?
