Anybody know how I can install PPT 97 on a lap top with
no 3.5 drive. My upgrade is n Cd and my original version,
4.0 is on 3.5 floppies.
If you have a friend with a floppy drive and a CD burner, try burning the
contents of the floppies off to CD. In some cases you need to pour all the
files into a single folder, starting with the first install disk and moving
along through them sequentially, in others you need to create a different
folder for each floppy. Should be easy enough to do both, given the amount
of room on a CD (make the individual folders on the HDD, copy from those to
the single "All of em" folder, then burn the cd from the HDD contents.
OR
Find somebody with a USB floppy, assuming your PC has USB ports.
Or buy one -- they're quite inexpensive and you're almost sure to need a
floppy drive for something again later.
