Installing Project Server 2003 on SBS 2003

Walter

I would like to install Project Server 2003 on a server
running Small Business Server 2003.

Are there any problem areas that one should look out for?

Can I follow the installation instruction for installing
on Server 2003 Standard Edition?

Any comments/pointers/words of advice would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
Walter

Hi,

My understanding is SBS only runs on one server and that server already has
a lot to do. Add Project Server and you are likely to slow it right down.
Typical project server installations have two or more servers. You obviously
have only a few resources, so I would look for an alternative solution.
Search the web. I really would leave your over-worked SBS server on its own.
If you really need Project Server, put it on its own server.

Walter:

It is possible, but you need the Premium Edition. Father, the installation
instructions are slightly different. A number of news group posters have
done this successfully and shared the installation tips in the newsgroup in
the past. I suggest you use Google to find these past posts.
