Installing Project Server 2003 with SQL 2000 SP4?

Anyone experienced problems with connecting to Project Server 2003 SP2 via
the client MS Project Pro 2003 SP2? All service packs have been applied.
This is a complete new install with SQL 2000 SP4, Analysis Services, WSS 2.0
and Project Pro...all installed on a single workstation. All went well until
we tried to connect to the server with the Administrator account...Winproj
crashes and can't connect to the server? Any know issues when you install
Project Server via the media disk when creating the ProjectServerUser and
ProjectUser accounts with SQL2000 SP4?

Thanks for any ideas?

Hi Neil,
Are you getting any event logs? Can you connect via PWA with the same user?
Are you able to successfully set up the Project Server Accounts in Project
Pro?

Lots of questions, but there isn't much to go on.

Hey Ben, thanks for getting back to me. I will check the event logs (can;t
get to it right now). Yes, I can connect to PWA using the Administrator
account and password.
Yes, on the initial setup, I did setup the Administrator Project Server
account in Pro, and tested the link to the Project Server and that was
successful. Then close out of Pro and then attempt to logon with the
Administrator account and winproj crashes?

Did remove MacAfee 8.0i (enterprise version). Still have issue. Project Pro
was originally installed off a network drive. Will delete and reinstall off
of CD. Event log indicated some missing files? Trying to get a shapshot of
the event log

thanks Ben and will let you know

Hi,

Its also worth installing Project 2003 on another workstation and
testing it like that - will enable you to see if the problem is server
or workstation specific.
