I have attempted to install project Server, and have followed the suggestions for its install on the servers. If you have any insight it would be great. Here is the information and the various information that I have gathered below.
Description:
You must install Office SharePoint Server 2007 - Please read Microsoft Knowledge Base article: 962935 with the most recent service pack. Office SharePoint Server 2007 - Please read Microsoft Knowledge Base article: 962935 without service packs has a known compatibility issue with this version of Windows.
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: ApphelpHardBlock
Problem Signature 01: {11111111-1111-1111-1111-111111111111}
Problem Signature 02: {848c2bef-b91a-478a-b156-984b9ef4b4e9}
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.274.10
Locale ID: 1033

This is the error that I have tried or attempted and it still has not worked?
SYMPTOMS
You cannot upgrade from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2008 R2 after you install products in the "applies to" section on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008.

CAUSE
The original release and Service Pack 1 (SP1) release of products in the "applies to" section are not supported on Windows Server 2008 R2.

WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods
New Installations
? Option 1: Create a slipstream that contains 2007 Microsoft Office servers Service Pack 2 or later versions. Use that slipstream to install the product that generated the error. For more information about how to create a slipstream, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Upgrade
? Option 1: Upgrade to 2007 Microsoft Office servers Service Pack 2. Then, install Windows Server 2008 R2. For more information about how to deploy software updates for the products in the "applies to" section, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

? Option 2: Uninstall the product in the "applies to" section. Then, install Windows Server 2008 R2. Finally, install the product by using Option 1 for New Installations listed above.
