Installing Project Server

Steve Scott

Ok, I've been on the course; I've bought a new PC just for learning to use
Project server and I have all of the following software:-

Sharepoint; SQL Server2005; Project Server 2003; Now because following the
installation instructions on the Project Server CD do not seem to line up
very well with SQL Server 2005 - does anyone know of a simple guide that will
allow me to get project server running on one PC using windows 2003 server
standard. I need particular guidance on the SQL side of things becuase I
have never used it before.

Thanks in advance.

It is possible to build a Web site using Active Server Pages (ASPs) that
allow users to update schedules through a simple Web page, even from PDAs or
Web-capable cellphones, without having each user have MSProject on their
device. The Web site software also gives you a document library with upload
functions and a full-text search engine. It can be made completely secure
and track user uploads and logins. And it is completely customizable. It
doesn't require SharePoint, SQL Server, or Project Server.

Write me at (e-mail address removed) and I will send you a link to a demo
site that you can try for yourself.

Thanks,
Rick Williams
