Installing Small Business Accounting 2006

When first attempting to install Small Business Accounting 2006, I
encountered this error message: "Error 1704. An installation for QuickBooks
is currently suspended. You must undo the changes made by that installation
to continue. Do you want to undo those changes?"
Since I do not understand exactly what is going to be changed, and I do not
wish to lose the functioning versions of QuickBooks still on my PC, I have
not completed the installation.
Can anyone explain the consequances of my saying "Yes" and completing the
install?

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Locate the following registry key:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\InProgress
4. Select the key, and then press DELETE.
5. Click Yes to confirm the delete operation.
6. On the Registry menu, click Exit to quit the Registry Editor.
7. Run Small Business Accounting 2006 Setup again.
