I have the msp files extracted from the spi executable. If i put those in
the updates folder and run from a network location, will it install sp1 while
installing office 2007

Hi Booker,

From your previous message, generally yes, the updates to a product you installed should chain to install based on the MSPs being in
the update folder, but you may need SP1 content for each of the products on the DVD, if there are separate products with separate
SP1 updates, and the .MSP files only would be applied for the specific product you're installing in that point of the run).

The .MSP files you create are generally run in alphabetic order if they're in the Updates folder.

Is therea default beyond alphabetical order. One of my techs asked if the
additional updates could be loaded during the install, i.e, the office
updates that occur after you install sp1.

I was not sure what would happen if an update was in the folder that needed
to wait on another update before it could be applied?
