Installing spelling for more than one language

G

Gabriel Menini

Hello, there.

I am running MS-Office XP SP3 in English.

Our office works with English, Spanish and Portuguese documents and I
need to install spelling checkers (and dictionaries) for those languages.

I don't know wether they're available for download in MS web site or if
I have to buy them.

I've been looking for them in the Download section without success...
Does anyone have a multi-language Office XP installation?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Gabriel,

MS Office XP English editions include English, French and Spanish proofing tools. You should be able to install the optional
Spanish tools from the Microsoft Office XP listing in Add Remove Programs in the Windows control panel.

For languages other than those three you may need to locate the separately purchasable Microsoft Office XP/2002 Proofing Tools Kit.

It may be too late in the product cycle for Office XP, but you may want to investigate using a volume/enterprise license for MS
Office and the MS Office Multilingual Interface Package edition that includes the proofing tools and menus in a variety of
languages.
