installing updates from Microsoft

I got through Microsoft Automatic Updates a message that SP2 for Project2003,
Visio2003, Office2003 and OneNote2003. I tried to install these updates, but
after trying to install them for about a week now, I still get the error
message that the updates can't be installed.
The only feedback I get is that an error report is generated and send to
Microsoft.
All the software on my PC is original (no piracy).

Is there anybody out there who can help me to get these updates installed?

Hi,

If online installation failed, you may wish to download each full version
(except for the Outlook junk mail filter update) and try to install from the
local drive.

Also a reminder - before you install from the local drive, try clean up temp
files and disable as many auto-start programs as possible including firewall
and anti-virus.

In many cases, that should solve the problem although specific reasons for
why online installation oftentimes failed - remained unknown.
