installing web publishing wizard from outlook - SHARING CALENDARS

Leandre Smith

I'm trying to use Net Folders in Outlook 2000, but everytime i try and share
a folder, it says the feature is not currently installed and then it looks
for a .msi file. I've downloaded the web publishing wizard and installed it,
but if i try and install it through outlook (WPWIZ.EXE) it says its not a
valid installation package for Office 2000 (Professional) and i should look
for DATA1.MSI.

I'm actually trying to share calendars, so that all in our office (7 users)
can view each other's info. Is there any way to actually do this? I'm not too
clued up on networking, and i don't think we have Exchange Server. I hear its
pretty impossible without it?

Net Folders is so buggy that you're chances of getting good results are small. THere are a number of third-party tools that provide sharing capabilities without Exchange. See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/share.htm
